Report reveals where Gareth Bale sees himself playing next season

Spanish publication AS have claimed that Gareth Bale sees himself playing at Real Madrid next season, despite suggestions to the contrary from sections of the British press.

The Daily Mail reported last week that Daniel Levy will give the next Tottenham manager the chance to re-sign Bale on loan next season.

The report suggested that Spurs have the option of extending the Welshman’s loan deal by another year on the same terms as his current deal.

However, AS now claim that no such agreement exists between the two clubs and that Spurs will have to negotiate another deal from scratch to re-sign the 31-year-old.

It is asserted that Bale sees himself returning to the Spanish capital after this summer’s European Championship, with the winger’s family continuing to live in the city.

The report adds that the on-loan Real Madrid star is waiting to see whether Zinedine Zidane is still at the club next season. It is said that Bale would be ‘delighted’ to sign off in style at the Santiago Bernabeu next season if Zidane parts way with the club.

Despite the fact that we are just a few weeks away from the end of the season, Bale’s future still looks to be up in the air. A lot will depend on whether Zidane stays at Madrid and whether the new Spurs manager fancies having the Welshman in his squad.
