Report reveals whether Dele Alli expects to leave Spurs this month

According to a report by The Sun, Dele Alli is confident that he will be able to complete a move to Paris Saint-Germain before the January transfer window closes.

The midfielder does not appear to be part of Jose Mourinho’s plans, with the Tottenham boss leaving him out of the matchday squad against Sheffield United despite being able to name nine substitutes on the bench.

However, reports from France indicate that a loan move is not proving straight forward for PSG to complete since Tottenham are still reluctant to let the midfielder leave.

Le Parisien have suggested that the North Londoners are demanding a compulsory option to buy Alli for around £45m at the end of a loan deal, which is said to be beyond the Ligue 1 side’s budget.

However, despite the reported complications in negotiations, The Sun suggests that the Tottenham star believes he will reunite with Mauricio Pochettino at Paris before the end of the month.

The report claims that Pochettino also wants to take Hugo Lloris to Parc des Princes but that the French giants are only likely to make a move for the Spurs number one in the summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

The fact that Alli was left out of the matchday squad on Sunday was a sign that perhaps Mourinho does not think the midfielder is in the right frame of mind to play for Spurs amidst the speculation linking him with PSG. That could potentially force Tottenham’s hand in letting him leave on loan as having an unhappy player around is not good for the dressing room.
