Report reveals whether Julian Nagelsmann is interested in Spurs job

The Daily Mail have revealed that Julian Nagelsmann is open to taking over at Tottenham Hotspur from the start of next season.

It was revealed by The Telegraph on Monday that one of the reasons behind Daniel Levy deciding to pull the plug on Jose Mourinho was to ensure Bayern Munich do not steal a march on them in the pursuit of Nagelsmann.

The Mail have now reported that the RB Leipzig boss is Tottenham’s number one target and that he is also being pursued by Bayern as a replacement for Hansi Flick.

The report reveals that the German coach is open to taking over at Spurs but the Lilywhites would have to pay around £10m to Leipzig as compensation to secure the 33-year-old’s services.

It is said that the Spurs hierarchy are concerned that Bayern might swoop for Nagelsmann and are thus also looking at alternatives.

Brendan Rodgers is reportedly another name on Tottenham’s list but the cost of getting him out of the King Power Stadium could be prohibitive.

The report claims that Fulham boss Scott Parker and Brighton boss Graham Potter could also emerge as targets for Spurs.

The European Super League announcement probably does not help our chances of getting Nageslmann. The uncertainty surrounding Tottenham’s participation in European competitions might tempt the Leipzig boss to go to the Allianz Arena as Bayern have not signed up for the breakaway tournament.
