Report reveals whether Pedro Porro is likely to start or be benched against Arsenal

The Athletic have now claimed that Pedro Porro is expected to be fit to start in the North London derby on Sunday.

Tottenham will be without Destiny Udogie for the big clash against Arsenal as the left-back has been ruled out for the rest of the season following surgery on his quadriceps.

The Italian joins the club’s long-term absentees, Manor Solomon and Ryan Sessegnon, in the treatment table, with none of the three players expected to kick a ball until pre-season.

However, The Standard reported on Tuesday that Spurs could be boosted by the return of both Porro and Richarlision for Arsenal’s trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

This was subsequently backed up by Paul O Keefe, who revealed on social media that the Spaniard has been training with the squad this week and that the club are hopeful about his fitness.

The Athletic have now handed Tottenham a boost by stating that the expectation at Hotspur Way is that Porro would be available from the start against the Gunners.

The reports over the last couple of days on Porro and Richarlison sound very promising but we will have to wait until Postecoglou’s press conference for confirmation on the pair’s availability.
