Report reveals whether Spurs duo Lo Celso and Romero will have to quarantine

Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero will not be required to quarantine on their return to the UK after Argentina was removed from the government’s red list, according to The Times.

Both are currently on international duty with La Albiceleste and are due to take part in another World Cup qualifier against Peru, which kicks off in the early hours of Friday morning.

Meanwhile, Tottenham’s return to Premier League action is scheduled for Sunday afternoon against Newcastle United at St James’ Park.

It was originally reported that Lo Celso and Romero, alongside Colombian defender and Brazil’s Emerson Royal, would fly directly back to the UK and stay at the club’s training centre during a 10-day stint in quarantine.

However, it appears as though that will now no longer be the case for the aforementioned pair.

The Times add that Tottenham will be forced to make a ‘late decision’ regarding the duo’s involvement against Newcastle this weekend, with questions regarding individual fitness and fatigue still lingering.

The second international break has caused another load of headaches for club managers, with many players still likely to be absent this weekend.

Plus there will be another one coming up quickly so, hopefully, these issues can be avoided or at least reduced for next time.
