Report reveals who will take over at Spurs after Mourinho sacking – Not Ledley King

News broke this morning that Jose Mourinho has been sacked by Tottenham Hotspur just six days before the Carabao Cup Final against Man City.

The Telegraph reported that Mourinho was summoned for talks on Monday morning which eventually led to his sacking at Hotspur Way.

This comes after Tottenham’s recent 2-2 draw away to Everton in which the team yet again disappointed on the pitch in the Premier League.

The Telegraph claim that Ryan Mason and Chris Powell will take charge of Tottenham for the rest of the 2020/21 season, which includes the Carabao Cup Final.

There is no mention of Ledley King in the report despite the fact the former Spurs centre-back was a part of Mourinho’s backroom staff this season.

Mourinho was hired by Spurs just 24 hours after Mauricio Pochettino was sacked back in November 2019. However, in his two seasons at the club, he failed ti deliver a trophy or get Spurs back into the Champions League.
