Report reveals why Conte may be unable to take charge of Spurs training today

Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Antonio Conte can only take charge of Tottenham’s training session this afternoon if his work visa arrives in time.

Spurs are set to begin a new era under Conte after confirming that the Italian will replace Nuno Espirito Santo at the helm.

The 52-year-old comes to the North London club with a wonderful track record of success in both club and international football, having previously lifted the Premier League title with Chelsea in his first season in English football.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Italia) revealed that Conte might have to wait until Tottenham’s trip to Goodison Park on Sunday to take charge of his first match if his work visa does not arrive before the club’s Europe Conference League clash against Vitesse on Thursday.

Di Marzio has now claimed that even Conte taking charge of training this afternoon would depend on his visa arriving on time.

Irrespective of whether Conte is able to take charge of the training session today, one would expect the work visa to be sorted out by the club before Thursday’s Europa League Conference clash against Vitesse.
