Report claims why Spurs fans will be seeing a lot of Troy Parrott under Mourinho

Tottenham Hotspur certainly have a talent on their hands in the form of young Troy Parrott, who is currently technically the second-choice striker in North London.

After Fernando Llorente was released and Vincent Janssen sold, Parrott became the only known out-and-out striker behind Harry Kane in the pecking order.

Jose Mourinho gave the 17-year-old his first taste of Premier League action at the weekend, subbing him on with around ten minutes to go in the match against Burnley.

This comes after Mauricio Pochettino took the young Irishman on the pre-season tour this year, as well as handing him his full debut in the League Cup against Colchester.

However, the Standard have now reported that Parrott has just 18-months left on his current contract in North London, and he would certainly be hot property if that continued to tick down.

The report states that Spurs fans will see more and more of the teenager under Mourinho as the manager attempts to convince him to sign his long-term future to Spurs.
