Report reveals why Spurs were ‘unhappy’ with Mourinho – Led to his sacking

The Athletic have reported that Tottenham Hotspur were left unhappy by Jose Mourinho’s managerial style this season, which eventually led to his sacking.

The report claims that Spurs did not like Mourinho’s consistent public criticism of his own players and were also very aware of how the fanbase was turning on The Special One.

It is said that the club worried about how the fans would react to Mourinho once they returned to stadiums and decided that supporters would likely make their feelings clear.

Not only this, but Mourinho was also tasked with getting back into the Champions League which, due to the emergence of the European Super League, has become somewhat pointless.

Therefore, the Lilywhites took the decision to pull the plug on project Mourinho early, a year and a half after the Portuguese coach took over from Pochettino.

Tottenham play in the Carabao Cup Final against Man City in just six days.
