It has been reported that Everton manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has asked the club to make a move for Gareth Bale this summer when he returns to Real Madrid (Eduardo Inda).

The Welshman is currently on loan at Tottenham Hotspur after a spell of seven years away from the Premier League.

While it took him a few months to get up to speed after some time on the sidelines in Spain, Bale has certainly hit his stride in North London since the turn of 2021.

Bale now has an impressive nine goals in 16 Premier League games, or 14 goals and three assists across 30 matches in all competitions (TransferMarkt).

It is said that Ancelotti has asked for Everton to sign Bale on a free transfer at the end of the season as a part of his summer rebuild. However, the winger does still have another year on his Real Madrid contract.

Journalist Eduardo Inda claimed that Ancelotti was a big fan of Bale during their time at Real Madrid together and wants to now bring him to Everton.

He said (El Chiringuito): “Ancelotti has asked for Bale, a player he always loved when they played together at Real Madrid. He wants to take him to Everton.”
