Report: Rival sees £50m offer for reported Spurs target rejected

According to a report by Sky Sports, Manchester United have submitted a bid rising to £50million for Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, which has been rejected by the South London club.

The report claims that the bid was worth an initial £35m, with additional payments totalling another £15m.

Palace are claimed to be unhappy at the way the deal is structured, and it is suggested that they would accept an offer of between £45m and £50m up front for the 21-year-old.

Wan-Bissaka has also been linked with a move to Tottenham, with reports claiming that the lilywhites are willing to listen to offers for both Kieran Tripper and Serge Aurier (The Sun).

The Crystal Palace defender has surprised people with the maturity he has displayed after breaking into the Palace team this season.

Spurs are reportedly also following Norwich City’s Max Aarons as a back up to the Palace defender who seems like a more realistically priced option (The Sun).

Spurs Web Opinion

We believe that Wan-Bissaka would be a perfect fit for Pochettino’s system given that he has the energy to get up and down the pitch for the entire game.

He will provide something that the team has missed since Kyle Walker left for Man City, but it now looks like the 21-year-old is likely to move to Old Trafford.
