It looks as though Tottenham may still have a chance of pulling a deal for Joe Rodon out of the bag before the 5 pm transfer deadline as multiple sources are reporting that Swansea are close to completing a deal for Wolves defender Ryan Bennet.
The Athletic reported earlier in the week that Swansea wanted to bring in two central defenders before letting Joe Rodon leave.
BBC Wales reporter Gareth Vincent revealed that the Championship club snapped up Manchester City’s Joel Latibeaudiere and were also looking to complete a deal for Bennet.
It now appears that the Wolves man is bound for South Wales, which can only be good news for Tottenham’s hopes of snapping up Rodon.
Sky Sports reports (20:44 in the live blog) that Bennet is having a medical at Swansea, while journalist Graeme Bailey took to social media to assert that it is a done deal.
He also claimed that Rodon was ‘edging closer’ to a move to North London.
