Report: Roma name asking price for Zaniolo after alleged Spurs approach

Ekrem Konur has revealed that AS Roma want €50m (£42.6m) to sell Tottenham target Nicolo Zaniolo.

Fabio Paratici is reportedly in Italy at the moment to negotiate exits for Japhet Tanganga and Bryan Gil but it was suggested that he could also explore the signing of Zaniolo (Daniele Longo).

Calciomercato.it revealed on Thursday that Spurs had held talks with AS Roma over the 23-year-old and even made an offer for the player.

The report claimed that Jose Mourinho’s men would be open to cashing in on Zaniolo following the arrival of Paulo Dybala on a free transfer.

However, it was explained that Tottenham’s offer of €25m (£21.3m) plus Joe Rodon for the Italy international was turned down by the Giallorossi, who would only consider a straight cash offer.

Konur has now taken to social media to reveal that Serie A giants want €50m (£42.6m) for Zaniolo.

The journalist named Juventus and Spurs as two clubs who are interested in securing the services of the Roma star this summer.

The potential upsides with Zaniolo are very high as the 23-year-old can mature into one of the best attackers in world football. However, there is also a huge risk involved with the move, given his recent injury woes and the fact that he is not proven in the Premier League.
