Report: Roman Abramovich keen on move for Spurs player this summer

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Harry Kane is Chelsea’s number one striker target heading into this summer’s transfer window.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have been credited with an interest in Kane, who has made no secret of his desire to win the biggest trophies.

A move to Manchester United potentially looks unlikely this summer as the Red Devils extended Edinson Cavani’s contract and look set to make a big splash on Jadon Sancho.

Over the last couple of weeks, reports in the British press have backed Man City to test Tottenham’s resolve for Kane while Chelsea have been linked heavily with a move for Erling Haaland.

However, Di Marzio has now claimed that the Tottenham striker remains the Blues’ number one target over Haaland, with club owner Roman Abramovich favouring a move for the England captain.

The Sky Italia reporter also claimed that City are ready to offer clash plus Aymeric Laporte and Gabriel Jesus to convince Levy to part ways with Kane but the Tottenham chairman has stood firm.

Spurs Web Opinion

While I was initially confident that we would hold on to Kane, I am not starting to fear that he will be sold this summer. If Paulo Fonseca is appointed, that could be a sign from the club that they are not planning on splurging in the transfer window. Levy might thus potentially be thinking about selling Kane in order to raise the transfer funds necessary to rebuild the squad.
