Report rubbishes claims that Spurs deal is dead – sources from within Juve and Tottenham

It looks as if this story is going to run and run all deadline day, as there has been yet another twist in the Paulo Dybala story.

Tottenham had a bid accepted for the player earlier this week, reported to be around £64.4m, with the deal subject to personal terms and an image rights deal (Sky Sports).

The Independent reported yesterday that Dybala himself had agreed to join Spurs, with the unique image rights situation being the only thing holding up the potential deal.

However, the BBC killed the hopes of many Spurs fans this morning when they reported that the Dybala deal was completely off. They claimed that Juventus had decided to pull the plug on any potential sale.

Despite this, the Independent have now rubbished the BBC’s claims, stating that sources within Spurs and Juve say that a deal is not dead at all.

Having said this, the situation regarding the image rights remains the same and it is unclear if a deal will go through in time.
