Report: Rumoured Spurs target could be sold for less than £8.7m in the summer

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ivan Perisic, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, could be sold for a cut-price deal at the end of the season.

Perisic was reported to be on Tottenham’s radar during last summer’s transfer window on the back of his impressive loan spell at Bayern Munich during the 2019/20 season.

Reports from Italy also suggested during last month’s transfer window that Tottenham had held talks with the Croatian international.

In the end, the North Londoners did not move for the 32-year-old, which was unsurprising given the number of wide players currently at Jose Mourinho’s disposal.

However, if Gazzetta dello Sport are to be believed, Tottenham could sign the experienced winger for a reduced fee if they were to pursue him at the end of the season.

The report claims that Inter are looking to get Perisic off their wage bill and he will be one of the first players the Serie A club are likely to sell in the summer.

It is asserted that an offer of around €10m (£8.7m) will be enough to snap up the Croatian international.

Spurs Web Opinion

Despite the fact that Mourinho has been vocal about his admiration for Perisic in the past, I cannot see Spurs moving for the Croat in the summer. At 32 years of age, he does not fit the profile of signings we usually go for.
