Report: Rumoured Spurs target could snub North London for Germany

With Fulham’s relegation to the Championship confirmed, Ryan Sessegnon’s future has become a source for much speculation in recent weeks.

The 18-year-old has had an impressive first season in the Premier League after struggling to adapt to the top flight in the first couple of months of the season.

Tottenham are said to be long-time admirers of Sessegnon but a deal for the England Under-21 player fell through last summer after Fulham’s owner Shahid Khan slapped a £100 million price-tag on him.

It is suggested that the teenager could be available for less than half the price this summer as he is said to be keen to continue playing in the Premier League (Daily Mirror).

However, a report in the Sun claims the wide man could snub Spurs in favour of a move to German giants Borussia Dortmund.

According to the report, Dortmund have their eye on signing Sessegnon on a pre-contract deal in January 2020, and the 18-year-old is prepared to run down his contract with the Cottagers, which has one year left, to join Dortmund next summer.

While it is possible that Sessegnon could have been inspired by Jadon Sancho’s rise at BVB, an offer from Tottenham in the summer could still prove too tempting to turn down.
