Report: Rumoured Spurs target determined to leave current club at the end of the season

Based on recent reports, it looks like Jose Mourinho will prioritise rebuilding Tottenham’s defence when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

A right back, central defender and left-back are all said to be on the club’s radar at the end of the season (The Express).

Among the right backs to be linked with a move to Spurs is West Bromwich Albion’s Nathan Ferguson with Football Insider reporting that the Lilywhites are considering making an offer for the defender.

Ferguson, who has been one of the Baggies most consistent performers this campaign, will become a free agent at the end of the current campaign.

Football Insider report that the 19-year-old has made it clear to the Baggies hierarchy that he has no intention of signing a new deal.

The report suggests that the relationship between Ferguson and the Championship club have reached rock bottom following his collapsed move to Crystal Palace last month due to concerns over a knee issue.

It is revealed that the defender is determined on finding an exit route from the Hawthorns in the summer.

While I really like the look of Ferguson, I would personally prefer us to sign Aarons over the West Brom star. I believe the Norwich City defender offers more going forward than his West Brom counterpart. Aarons will also have a season of Premier League football under his belt by the summer.
