Report: Rumoured Spurs target ‘expects to receive an offer’ from Premier League rivals

Manchester Evening News have installed Leicester City as the favourites to sign rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target David Brooks this summer.

It was previously claimed that Spurs were looking to snap up the attacking midfielder after Bournemouth’s relegation from the Premier League (Evening Standard).

Manchester United are also reportedly eyeing a move for the 23-year-old, who is expected to cost around £40million this summer.

However, Manchester Evening News have now revealed that Leicester have moved ahead of both the Red Devils and Spurs in the race for Brooks.

The report claims that, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side still hold an interest in the Wales international, they are now focused on their pursuit of Jadon Sancho, which might open the door for the Foxes to swoop for Brooks.

It is claimed that Brendan Rodgers rates the Bournemouth star very highly, with the midfielder expecting to receive an offer from Leicester in the coming weeks.

It is anybody’s guess at this point if an attacking midfielder/winger is actually on our radar this summer, with Alasdair Gold and Fabrizio Romano making contradictory claims on the matter. If we are after a player of that profile, we certainly can do a lot worse than Brooks.
