Report: Rumoured Spurs target now valued at £34.8m ahead of January

CMW.it have claimed that AC Milan and Juventus are both eyeing moves for Tottenham target Nicolo Zaniolo ahead of the January transfer window.

Spurs’ efforts to sign Zaniolo in the summer were rebuffed by Roma, who reportedly preferred a straight-cash deal while the North Londoners were said to be exploring a part-exchange transfer (Gianluca Di Marzio on Wettfreunde).

Despite staying put in the Italian capital, the winger has not extended his deal, with his current contract running out in the summer of 2024 (Transfermarkt).

CMW.it now claim that the possibility of the 23-year-old renewing his contract ‘remains distant’, which is why he could be on his way out of the Stadio Olimpico in January.

The report explains that Milan and Juve are monitoring Zaniolo’s situation and both clubs could launch a player plus cash offer for the Roma star, who is valued by Jose Mourinho’s men at €40m (£34.8m)

The Old Lady are allegedly ready to offer Leandro Paredes plus €15m (£13m) for the Italy international while the Rossoneri are said to be willing to offer Alexis Saelemaekers plus €20m (£17.4m) for the winger.

Spurs Web Opinion

Roma will likely be more open to selling Zaniolo in January than they were in the summer, now that he has only 18 months on his contract. However, the 23-year-old has had another injury-hit campaign so far, which might put off the Spurs hierarchy from reigniting their pursuit of the player.
