Report: Rumoured Spurs target Ryan Fraser tells team-mates his preferred new club

Rumoured Spurs target Ryan Fraser has reportedly told his Bournemouth team-mates which club he wants to join when his contract expires this month, according to the Daily Mail.

Despite the reported interest from both Arsenal and Spurs (Metro), the report suggests Fraser has told his Cherries team-mates he is hoping for a move to Everton.

The 26-year-old will become a free agent at the end of the month after he turned down a short-term extension to see the season out on the south coast (Guardian).

Fraser has refused the contract extension as he does not want to risk his future by picking up an injury during the prolonged Premier League season.

In the Scottish winger’s seven-year spell at Bournemouth, Fraser has racked up 208 appearances in all competitions, scoring 24 goals and proving 33 assists (Transfermarkt).

Fraser joined Bournemouth from Aberdeen in 2013 and will see his career at the Cherries out with games against Crystal Palace and Wolves.  However, the report suggests he is unlikely to play again for Eddie Howe’s side given his contract decision.

In all honesty, I think this is for the best. We have more than enough options in that position and I really do not think he would come in and improve the squad we already have. Everton could be a good move for him.
