Report: Rumoured Spurs target set to complete move to Celtic

Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Liel Abada is closing in on a move to Celtic, according to Israeli news outlet One.

The Maccabi Petah Tikva winger was linked with a move to Tottenham in April, but it appears that he is on his way to Celtic Park.

The report claims that the 19-year-old has jetted off from Israel and arrived in France yesterday before catching a further flight to London and will round off his trip with a further plane trip to Glasgow.

Abada is also said to have attracted interest from Olympiacos, while clubs from Belgium and France have also made approaches for the player who is valued at £3.5million (The Scottish Sun).

Despite the fact that Tottenham may have been interested in Abada in April, it is likely that the club’s targets would have changed following the arrival of Fabio Paratici last month.

Abada is likely to have an easier path to the first team at Celtic than he would at Tottenham given the respective gulf in quality between the two leagues.
