Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Lautaro Martinez has snubbed a move to north London rivals Arsenal, according to The Times.

The report claims that the Inter Milan striker has no interest in making the move to the Emirates after they failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Mikel Arteta’s side suffered back-to-back defeats, losing 3-0 in the north London Derby before following up with an equally poor performance in the 2-0 defeat at Newcastle United.

Spurs just needed to draw against already-relegated Norwich City on the final day of the season and emphatically beat the Canaries 5-0 to resign the Gunners to Europa League football.

Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold revealed on his YouTube channel (23/5/22) that both Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte are big fans of the Argentine striker but would not come cheap after he signed a new contract in October which will keep him at Inter until June 2026.

Martinez would cost a hefty amount of money and would have to see Antonio Conte shift his formation to a front two in order to accommodate both Harry Kane and Martinez.

Inter are likely to want to hold onto the prolific forward and instead recoup some much-needed income with the sale of the likes of Alessandro Bastoni, who is also said to be interesting Tottenham.
