AC Milan will attempt to bring Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos to the San Siro on a two-year loan deal with the option to buy him for €35 million amid the rumours linking the midfielder to a move to Spurs, according to Sport Mediaset.
However, the outlet also claims the 22-year-old would only be open to a loan move to Milan and is not keen on the option to buy clause and prefers just a year-loan deal rather than one which lasts for two seasons.
The deal would also see Madrid install a buyback option for a fee of around €40 million yet Ceballos remains unconviced of the lure of Milan who are not playing in a European competition next season.
The youngster has also been linked with a switch to Spurs by The Sun with Real Madrid reportedly picking up their interest in Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen. (Sky Sports)
Ceballos told El Guardero: ” Next year will be my year. I want to play and do it in Real is hard, there are the best and I cannot be an immovable holder.”
It is said Ceballos is not convinced by the possibility of a switch to Milan which has not been helped by their exit from European football for next season.
The 22-year-old has impressed in Spain’s winning Under-21s European Championship side, however, Ceballos only made 23 appearances for Madrid last season, managing to bag just three goals in all competitions.
Spurs Web Opinion:
Ceballos is certainly showing the signs of a player who wants a move away from Madrid, a lack of football is clearly an issue for the youngster who wants to impress in the season leading up to the 2020 World Cup.
