Sport 1 journalist Christopher Michel has revealed that rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Daichi Kamada will leave Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer in the summer.
Kamada has had an impressive campaign for Frankfurt so far, with 13 goals and five assists to his name but there is a major question mark over his future as his current contract in Deutsche Bank Park runs out in June (Transfermarkt).
The attacking midfielder caught the eye in Frankfurt’s two Champions League group stage clashes against Spurs earlier this season and it was reported on the back of those displays that Antonio Conte’s men were keen on snapping up the 26-year-old (Bild 08/12/22 via Sport Witness).
Frankfurter Rundschau even claimed last month that the Lilywhites would be willing to offer the Japan international a sizeable contract when his current deal at Frankfurt runs out.
Michel has now taken to social media to state that Kamada has decided that he will not be extending his current contract at the Bundesliga club as he wants to leave in the summer.

Kamada would be an excellent fit for Spurs as not only can he feature as part of the front three but he can also play as a number eight if Conte decides to shift to a 3-5-2.
One would expect a whole host of clubs to queue up for the 26-year-old’s signature if he is available on a free transfer.
