Report: Sale of Tottenham target deemed ‘inevitable’

One of the players linked with a summer move with Spurs is Inter midfielder Ivan Perisic. According to a report in Calciomercato, it is inevitable that Inter Milan will let the Croatian leave in the summer.

It was reported earlier on that Pochettino is keen on adding the wide man to Tottenham’s squad and the club are willing to pay £23 million for his services, although the Nerazzurri are said to be demanding £10 million more (Source: Tuttomercatoweb).

The 30-year-old, who was sensational in last summer’s World Cup playing a crucial role in Croatia’s brilliant campaign, has struggled to emulate the same form in the Serie A this season.

Arsenal were linked with the midfielder in January while Man Utd were also said to be interested in signing him when Jose Mourinho was in charge of the club.

At 30 years of age, Perisic certainly isn’t a typical Spurs signing but perhaps he is was what Tottenham need at the moment given his experience and winning mentality.
