Report: Saudi Arabian club make offer to Spurs star who has 12 months on his contract

The Times have reported that Hugo Lloris has received an offer from a club in Saudi Arabia to make the move from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The report confirms that Tottenham’s current captain has 12 months left on his contract, meaning Spurs could look for a fee for him this summer rather than letting him leave on a free in 2024.

The Frenchman reportedly has multiple offers on the table already as we head into the summer transfer window, but the most lucrative is the one from Saudi Arabia.

Lloris is currently said to earn £100,000 per week at Tottenham, but has been offered ‘at least’ three times that salary to make the move to the Saudi league.

The Spurs captain will apparently sit down with chairman Daniel Levy at the end of the season to discuss his future, and would prefer to see who the next Tottenham manager will be before making a decision over any possible exit.

Spurs Web Opinion:

People do seem to think that Lloris leaving is a certainty this summer, but it really depends on the new manager. If they love him, he could stay for another year.

However, if they want to play progressive football out from the back, it seems unlikely they will stick with the Frenchman.
