Report: Saudi clubs are showing interest in Spurs and Arsenal duo

Tottenham Hotspur striker, Richarlison, is being lined up for a potential move to Saudi Arabia this summer, and so is Arsenal’s Brazilian forward, Gabriel Jesus.

Richarlison has had a fine season for Tottenham this year, well and truly putting the struggles of last season behind him.

After bagging a goal and an assist in the defeat to Liverpool at the weekend, the 26-year-old now has 11 goals and four assists to his name this term (Transfermarkt).

That display at the weekend earned Richarlison praise from Ange Postecoglou (Football.London). However, amid the manager’s claim that the squad needs to change, The Telegraph has suggested Richarlison could be one of the players to make way this summer.

Interestingly, Richarlison himself has welcomed the idea of a revamp of the squad at the end of the season (ESPN Brazil).

Is Richarlison heading for Saudi Arabia?

If he is indeed part of that exodus at Spurs this summer, it seems Saudi Arabia could well be the destination for Richarlison.

That’s according to the latest from Graeme Bailey at TBRFootball, who claims both Richarlison and his fellow Brazilian, Gabriel Jesus, are being targeted by clubs in Saudi Arabia ahead of the summer.

Apparently, newly promoted Al-Qadisiyah are thought to have Richarlison “on their radar” and it is believed Richarlison himself “does have an interest” in moving to the Middle East.

The outlet “has been informed” that Tottenham are open to the idea of selling Richarlison if a suitable offer comes in.

However, Al-Qadisiyah also hold an interest in Gabriel Jesus, though it is not clear whether the Arsenal man is ready to take his career to Saudi Arabia.

Spurs Web Opinion

I honestly don’t think selling Richarlison is the way to go. The way he changed our game on Sunday just proves that he has a lot to offer. He may not be the kind of player we want to lead the line from the start, but he’s got enough to be a very valuable squad member.
