Report: Saudi clubs not willing to give up pursuit of Spurs star

90 min have claimed that Richarlison is continuing to attract interest from the Saudi Arabian clubs even though Tottenham are not keen on offloading the striker.

Things have not clicked for Richarlison at Spurs since his big-money switch from Everton 18 months ago and there have been some suggestions over the last few weeks that the Brazilian could be on his way out in January.

This includes an update from The Telegraph, which suggested a couple of weeks ago that the forward is being targeted by Saudi Pro League sides.

However, Football Insider subsequently asserted that the 26-year-old has no desire to move to the Middle East at this stage of his career and is desperate to come good at Spurs.

Saudi clubs continue to circle Spurs’ Richarlison

90 min have now said that Saudi clubs are continuing to keep tabs on Richarlison even though Tottenham have not shown much of an inclination to offload the player.

It is alleged that while Ange Postecoglou is not in a hurry to move on the Brazil international, Spurs may find it hard to turn down a big offer for the striker.

The publication asserts that the Lilywhites would only agree to sell Richarlison if they can recoup the full £60m they spent on him.

I think Postecoglou and Tottenham would put off a decision on Richarlison’s future until the end of the season.

Having said that, Spurs will have to be alive to market opportunities and if they receive an offer of £60m-£70m for the Brazilian, they might have to consider accepting it and using the fee to sign someone like Ivan Toney.
