Report says Johan Lange likely behind Tottenham’s scouting mission

Tipsbladet have revealed that Tottenham’s scouts travelled to Denmark over the weekend to watch FC Midtjylland’s clash against Brondby IF.

The report reveals that officials from Spurs and Bayern Munich were both spotted in the stands as Midtjylland emerged 3-2 winners at home.

The outlet does not say which player the scouts from either club were watching at the MCH Arena, simply stating that they were ‘scouting stars’.

The publication does point out that Tottenham have had a change of policy since Ange Postecolgou took over from Antonio Conte and are now focussed on signing young, up-and-coming players rather than readymade stars.

Johan Lange is spearheading Spurs scouting mission

It is said that the club’s technical director Johan Lange is very much at the forefront of this new approach and he might be the one who is keeping an eye on the best emerging talent from Danish football.

Sport Witness have relayed this report from Tipsbladet and they suggest that Tottenham may have been watching Brondby duo, Yuito Suzuki and Nicolai Vally, who have allegedly caught the attention of several clubs this season.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is well documented that Tottenham are on the lookout for a striker and it is quite possible that the club’s scouts were keeping an eye on Suzuki, who is having an impressive season at Brondby.

Postocoglou would be well aware of the 22-year-old’s talent, having come up against him in the J League a few years ago.
