Report: European side could agree to become Tottenham’s feeder club

Football Insider have claimed that talks are underway between Tottenham Hotspur and FC Nordsjaelland regarding an arrangement whereby the Danish side would become the North Londoners’ feeder club.

Over the past few years, Nordsjaelland have built a reputation for producing top young talent, with the likes of Andreas Skov Olsen, Mohammed Kudus, and Kamaldeen Sulemana coming through the ranks of the club’s academy over recent years before making moves to bigger clubs.

Both Kudus and Sulemana were graduates of the famed Right to Dream academy in Ghana, which has a close working relationship with the Danish side.

Nordsjaelland could become a Tottenham feeder club

Football Insider quotes one source with vast knowledge of Scandinavian football as describing Nordsjaelland as the ‘Dinamo Zagreb of Scandinavia’ for their ability to nurture young talents and sell them on for bigger fees across the continent.

The report explains that the Lilywhites want to capitalise on the Danish Superliga club’s ability to spot and nurture high-potential assets.

Interestingly, this update comes at a time when Tottenham are thought to considering a move for young Nordsjaelland winger Ibrahim Osman (Ben Jacobs).

Spurs Web Opinion

Given that so many big clubs in the Premier League and around Europe have this kind of arrangement with other clubs in the continent as well as clubs in Asia and South America, I am not surprised that Spurs are considering following suit.
