Report: Senior figure is set to join Chelsea after resigning from Tottenham role

The Daily Telegraph’s Matt Law has reported that Todd Kline is set to join Chelsea after resigning from Tottenham Hotspur this week.

This comes after the same journalist broke the news earlier this morning that Kline had resigned from his position as Tottenham’s Chief Commercial Officer.

Kline is currently on gardening leave from the N17 club but will join their bitter London rivals in the near future in a ‘senior business role’.

Todd Kline is set to swap Tottenham for Chelsea

After joining Spurs back in February 2021, Kline was tasked with finding a stadium naming rights deal for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (Standard). However, fast forward almost exactly three years and the Lilywhites are still using the temporary name for their new ground.

It remains to be seen what role Kline will take on at Chelsea and whether Tottenham will choose to replace him with a new Chief Commercial Officer in the coming months.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Chelsea certainly need all the help they can get from a business point of view at the moment and Kline failed to tick the major box he was given at Tottenham, so it seems like a move that could benefit all parties in the long run.
