Report: Senior Spurs stars make transfer plea to Jose Mourinho

According to a report by Football Insider, senior Spurs players raved about Adama Traore’s performance against them on Sunday in the 2-1 win over Wolves and urged Jose Mourinho to consider him as a future signing.

Traore was a threat every single time he got on the ball as he left the Spurs backline for dead on several occasions due to his electric pace.

He got to the touchline several times and delivered dangerous balls into the box before scoring Wolves’ equaliser midway into the second half courtesy of a thunderous effort from just outside the box.

The 23-year-old winger has been in fantastic form this campaign, already notching up four goals and six assists for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in all competitions (transfermarkt).

One senior Tottenham player is alleged to have told Mourinho he could not believe how much Traore has improved this season.

Spurs Web Opinion

While Traore has always been blessed with fantastic raw pace and athleticism, he has become a lot more intelligent with how he uses his pace this season. He will certainly fit the system we are currently employing under Jose Mourinho and give a completely different dimension to our attack.

Tottenham lack a player with natural width who can help to stretch the opposition, if Traore continues his form then he will be a player in demand.
