Report: Serbian international is now on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar

90 min claim that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Red Bull Salzburg centre-back Strahinja Pavlovic ahead of the January transfer window.

It has been widely reported by various outlets that signing a central defender is one of Ange Postecoglou’s top priorities in January, with The Standard claiming on Wednesday that the club could accelerate the search for a left-sided centre-back after Micky van de Ven’s injury.

GiveMeSport reported a couple of weeks ago that Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly, Chelsea’s Trevor Chalobah, Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Ko Itakura are the four names at the top of the club’s wishlist.

It has emerged over the last few days that Tottenham continue to hold an interest in Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba (Football Insider) while Club America’s Sebastian Caceres is also thought to be on the Lilywhites’ radar (Record).

Pavlovic emerges as a target for Tottenham

90 min have now added another name to the long list of centre-backs that Tottenham are eyeing, revealing that the club have checked on Pavlovic.

The 23-year-old has excelled since his move from Monaco to Salzburg last year and has been capped 31 times by Serbia.

The outlet claims that the Premier League side have sent scouts to Austria to run the rule over Pavlovic this season.

Spurs Web Opinion

By the sounds of it, Tottenham are still doing their due diligence on various centre-backs and have not arrived on their top targets yet. That is to be expected, given the changes that have been made to the club’s recruitment structure over recent weeks.
