Report: Serie A club expect to lose rumoured Spurs target in January

According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan are preparing for life without rumoured Tottenham target, Franck Kessie.

Tottenham reportedly expressed an interest in Kessie during the summer transfer window but the midfielder ended up staying put at the San Siro despite having less than twelve months left to run on his contract.

It has subsequently been suggested that Spurs could try to land the midfielder as a free agent when his contract runs out next summer but the North Londoners are expected to face competition from Paris Saint-Germain for the midfielder.

Some sources have even claimed that the Rossoneri could cash in on Kessie for a mere £7.5million in the January transfer window to avoid losing him for free next summer.

Gazzetta dello Sport have now reported that Milan are indeed expecting to lose the 24-year-old when the window reopens in a little over three months.

The report claims that the Serie A giants will reignite their interest in Brest playmaker, Romain Faivre should Kessie leave in the winter.

One would assume that Paratici would be all over this deal as the chance to sign a player of Kessie’s quality for a cut-price deal is too good to miss out on.

However, the Ivorian will likely have plenty of options to chose from. So, the Spurs managing director certainly has his work cut out.
