Report: Serie A club have not received any offers yet for Spurs target

According to a report from Corriere dello Sport, Lazio are yet to receive any offers for Tottenham Hotspur target Joaquin Correa this summer.

Reports first emerged back in June that Fabio Paratici was keen on snapping up Correa but the situation has not developed over the last couple of months.

In fact, some sources from Italy claimed last week that Tottenham’s interest in the attacking midfielder had cooled.

Corriere dello Sport have now also named Spurs as one of the clubs interested in the Lazio star, with the Lilywhites alleged to be facing competition from Everton and Aston Villa.

However, it is asserted that none of the three clubs have made an offer for the 26-year-old so far.

The report adds that Correa made his intention to leave Lazio clear at the end of last season and the Serie A club are still hopeful of cashing in on him in order to fund moves for their targets.

It is stated that while Lazio have been asking for €40m (£33.8m) for the Argentine, ‘everyone is convinced’ that an offer of €30m (£25.4m) plus bonuses will be enough to tempt the club into selling the former Sevilla man.

Spurs Web Opinion

I suspect the chances of Spurs signing an attacking midfielder this summer would depend on whether the club are able to find a buyer for Ndombele.

I would be surprised if any club meets Tottenham’s valuation of the 24-year-old and I also do not see anyone being prepared to match the Frenchman’s current salary.
