Report: Serie A club interested in wantaway Tottenham player

AC Milan are interested in signing wantaway Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to a report in the print edition of TuttoSport (as relayed by Sport Witness).

Ndombele has not featured in any of the matchday squads in Nuno Espirito Santo’s first three competitive games in charge of Tottenham amidst reports the midfielder wants to leave the club.

The Spurs boss threw a big hint about the 24-year-old’s future last week, insisting that it was not his job to convince players to stay at the club when asked about the speculation surrounding Ndombele.

Tottenham have reportedly held talks with Lyon, Juventus and Bayern Munich over swapping the Frenchman for Houssem AouarWeston McKennie and Corentin Tolisso respectively.

A report in Tuttosport has now discussed the talks between Paratici and his former club regarding a Ndombele-McKennie swap deal but also adds the Spurs midfielder could end up at Milan.

It is suggested that if Tottenham cannot reach an agreement with Juventus regarding a swap deal, Spurs could look to sell Ndombele to Milan, with the Lilywhites knowing of the Rossoneri’s interest in the midfielder.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is not surprising that Paratici seems to be looking to do swap deals for Ndombele as barely any club outside the Premier League could afford to meet Tottenham’s valuation of the midfielder under the current economic climate.

I would be surprised if we manage to shift Ndombele as his wages would arguably be the biggest stumbling block in any transfer. One would think Juventus’ wage bill would be freed up a bit if Cristiano Ronaldo leaves but that is a big ‘if’ at the moment.
