According to a report from Italy, Fiorentina have entered the race for rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Vedat Muriqi.

Spurs reportedly had a bid for Muriqi rejected during the January transfer window (Turkish TV Channel A Spor), with reports from Turkey suggesting that Jose Mourinho’s side could make a further attempt for the striker’s signature this summer (Sabah via Sport Witness).

The likes of West Bromwich Albion (Fanatik) and Leicester City (Askam) were also said to be interested in the Kosovan international.

Fabrizio Romano claimed earlier this month that Lazio were on the verge of signing Muriqi.

However, Corriere dello Sport (via Football Italia) now claim that Fiorentina are trying to hijack the deal and have made an offer to Fenerbache.

The report reveals that Lazio were previously confident of signing the 26-year-old but Fiorentina entering the race has now complicated matters.

Fenerbahce are reportedly looking to get a bidding war going for the striker and have now raised the asking price from €18million to €20million after La Viola entered the picture.

Wherever that Muriqi ends up, it does not look like is going to Spurs as the speculation linking us with the Fenerbahce star seems to have completely died down. If the latest reports are to be believed, it looks like we might be concentrating our efforts on landing Callum Wilson.
