Report: Serie A club make £3.5m offer for defender Spurs sent scouts to watch

The Scottish Sun report that Bologna have made an offer for Aberdeen starlet Calvin Ramsay, who is also said to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Ramsay, who came through Aberdeen’s youth set up, made his senior debut for the Scottish club in March of last year.

Since then, the 18-year-old has established himself as a regular in Stephen Glass’s starting eleven and has been turning a lot of heads with his performances.

The Press and Journal reported last week that Tottenham had sent scouts to watch Ramsey in action for Aberdeen against Rangers in the Scottish Premiership on Tuesday.

However, The Sun have now revealed that the Scotland Under-21 international might be on his way to Bologna after the Serie A club made an opening offer.

The report states that Spurs, Leicester, Manchester United, Southampton, and Leeds hold an interest in Ramsey.

However, Bologna have allegedly become the first club to make a concrete offer, launching a £3.5m bid for the teenager.

It is explained that while Aberdeen expect to lose Ramsey in the near future, the club are determined to get as a high a fee as they can through his sale.

Spurs Web Opinion

We already have some promising young right-back talents in the Spurs academy set up in the form of Marcel Lavinier and Maksim Paskotsi. That is why I perhaps suspect that the North Londoners might not want to get involved in a bidding war for Ramsay.
