Report: Serie A club may be willing to cash in on Spurs target in January

Il Bianconero have revealed that Juventus could decide to cash in on Tottenham target Weston McKennie in January.

Calciomercato reported a few days ago that Spurs continue to hold a concrete interest in McKennie and that Fabio Paratici could look to reunite with the USA international at Spurs.

It was explained that the 24-year-old has failed to impress Massimiliano Allegri and that Tottenham could look towards Turin once again to reinforce their midfield following their capture of Rodrigo Bentancur in January of this year.

Il Bianconero have now claimed that Juve are keen on making a move for Atletico Madrid’s Rodrigo De Paul and could decide to sacrifice McKennie in order to raise funds for the move and make space on the wage bill for the Argentine.

The report states that the former Schalke man has struggled for consistency at the Allianz Stadium, and it explained that the midfielder is wanted by multiple Premier League clubs, with Tottenham, in particular, holding a ‘strong’ interest in the player.

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe Conte will want an attack-minded midfielder added to the squad in January to give himself the option of using the 3-5-2 more often. I believe a deal for McKennie could be on the cards, given Paratici’s connections with the Juve hierarchy. The American also strikes me as a Conte type of player, given his engine and tactical discipline.
