Report: Serie A club more open to selling player to Spurs than Juventus

CalcioMercato have revealed that AS Roma would be more open to selling Nicolo Zaniolo to Tottenham than Juventus this summer.

Italian journalist Daniele Longo took to social media on Monday to reveal that Fabio Paratici will fly to Italy this week to hold discussions with AC Milan regarding the sale of Japhet Tanganga.

He added that during his time in his home country, the Spurs managing director could also potentially explore the signing of Zaniolo.

This claim has now been backed up by CalcioMercato, who report that the Roma winger has been an ‘old obsession’ of Paratici since his days at Juventus.

The report states that even though Zaniolo and the Roma hierarchy have made amends over recent days, the Serie A club could still decide to cash in on the 23-year-old.

It is explained that it would take a sizeable offer to convince the Giallorossi to part ways with the Italy international.

CalcioMercato also add that Roma are more likely to evaluate a bid from a foreign club for Zaniolo as Jose Mourinho’s men are resistant to strengthening a domestic rival like Juventus.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Conte really wanted a forward of Zaniolo’s profile, we would have like seen Spurs pursue Dybala, given that the Argentine was available for free. In Kane, Son, Kulusevski, Richarlison and Lucas, we have enough options to rotate across various competitions next season.
