Report: Serie A club open to player plus cash deal for Spurs target

Italian daily Corriere dello Sport have revealed (as relayed by Inside Futbol) that Sassuolo are ready to sell rumoured Tottenham target, Domenico Berardi this summer.

Berardi, who has been a consistent performer for Sassuolo over the years, has now established himself as an important part of Roberto Mancini’s Italy set-up, being one of the Azzurri’s standout performers in their European Championship campaign so far.

The winger, who netted 17 goals and registered 8 assists in the Serie A last season, is now said to be attracting interest from the Premier League.

Gazzetta dello Sport reported two weeks ago that Spurs, Leicester and Liverpool were all eyeing a move for the 26-year-old, who was said to be valued at €50m (£43m).

Corriere have now explained that Sassuolo are open to cashing on on Beradi this summer, with the Italian club knowing that the wide man is generating plenty of interest.

The report explains that while AC Milan are also interested in the winger, they are not ready to meet Sassolo’s demands.

It is asserted that Roberto De Zerbi’s side would also be willing to evaluate any player-plus-cash offer that is made for Berardi.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given that not a lot of clubs around Europe have money to throw around due to the pandemic, we could see more swap deals this summer than any time previously, unless one or two big-money moves happen early in the window, setting off a chain reaction.
