Report: Serie A club value alleged Spurs target at around £25m

The print edition of Tuttosport (as relayed by Sport Witness) have revealed that Torino would want at least £25m for Tottenham target Gleison Bremer.

Spurs have been linked with several central defenders from the Serie A since Antonio Conte’s appointment two weeks ago, with Bremer alleged to be one of the centre-backs on the North London club’s radar.

According to TMW’s previous report, the Brazilian’s current contract runs out at the end of next season but Torino are reportedly willing to triple the centre-back’s current £18,000 per week salary to ward off interest from Liverpool and Spurs.

Torino Granata claimed last week that Liverpool were the front-runners to land the 24-year-old, with the Reds set to accelerate negotiations for the defender.

TuttoSport have now revealed that Torino have not yet given up hope of extending Bremer’s contract.

The report claims that Spurs managing director of football Fabio Paratici ‘has not denied’ his interest in the player for next season to his ‘Italian confidantes’.

It is asserted that Torino president Urbano Cairo values Bremer at ‘no less than €30m’ (£25.2m).

Spurs Web Opinion

If a central defender is seen as a priority purchase by Conte in January, that would suggest that the Italian does not rate the likes of Rodon and Sanchez.

I would like to see Spurs loan Rodon out in January to a club like Brighton, Leeds or Southampton so that he can get some game time under his belt and show that he is good enough to perform consistently in the Premier League.
