Report: Serie A club want £52m for rumoured Tottenham target in January

Italian publication Radio Radio have now claimed that it will take an offer of over £50m for Inter Milan to cash in on Tottenham target Denzel Dumfries in January.

Spurs are expected to be in the market for a right wing-back in January (90 min) and Dumfries has been linked with a move to the North London club over recent weeks.

TuttoSport claimed a couple of weeks ago that Tottenham and Chelsea were the two clubs at the front of the queue for the Dutchman’s signature.

Italian journalist Rudy Galetti suggested last week that the Nerazzurri would listen to offers starting from €30m (£25.8m) for Dumfries.

However, this claim has been contradicted by Radio Radio, who now report that Inter value the 26-year-old at a whopping €60m (£51.6m).

The report adds that Simone Inzaghi’s men expect ‘very important offers’ to arrive from England for the right-back in January.

Interestingly, Spurs are not mentioned in the report, with Chelsea and Manchester United named as the two contenders for Dumfries’ signature.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not see any club paying anywhere near £50m for Dumfries in January. In fact, I think Spurs will walk away from the deal and turn their attention to other alternatives if Inter demand more than £30m for the player.

The one thing that I am certain about is that the right-back will not be at the San Siro at the end of January. The Nerazzurri hierarchy will realise that Dumfries’ value has now peaked on the back of his performances at the World Cup, and they will be keen to cash in on him.
