Report: Serie A club want more than £17m for winger Spurs ‘very much like’

Tottenham are still very interested in Samuel Iling-Junior, but may have to pay between £12-17m for the Juventus youngster if they are to secure a transfer this summer.

One thing is for certain: Samuel Iling-Junior appears to be heading for the exit door at Juventus come the end of the season.

The England Under-21 star has had to settle for a peripheral role at the Italian club this season, and has only managed to contribute one goal and two assists in 20 appearances — though he has only been given just over 600 minutes all year (Transfermarkt).

Spurs have been linked with Iling-Junior since late last year. And, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Juventus are willing to sell the former Chelsea man to raise funds for their summer transfer plans.

Whether it’s Tottenham who sign Iling-Junior or not, it seems a move to the Premier League is on the horizon for the 20-year-old winger, with a number of English sides monitoring his situation (Football Insider).

Spurs are very keen on Iling-Junior

The latest update comes from CalcioMercato, with the Italian outlet claiming that Iling-Junior’s departure from Juventus is one of the “probable transfers” the club will be involved in this summer.

The report states Juventus will want between €15m and €20m for the youngster, which works out at roughly somewhere between £12.8-17.1m.

In addition, Spurs are named as a key club tracking Iling-Junior, and it is thought the winger “is very much liked” by the North London side heading into the summer transfer window.

Spurs Web Opinion

Honestly, I would rather us spend the money on Timo Werner than sign Iling-Junior. He’s a good talent, but he’s not even been good enough for Juventus this season, and I just can’t see him becoming the kind of player we want or need.
