Report: Serie A club willing to sell rumoured Spurs target for just £17m

According to CalcioMercato, Cagliari are willing to sell rumoured Tottenham target Nahitan Nandez for just €20m (£16.6m) this month.

According to reports, a new central midfielder is one of Antonio Conte’s priorities in the January transfer window.

Nandez was linked with a move to Tottenham during the summer transfer window, with reports stating at the time that the Uruguay international had put in a transfer request to complete a move to North London.

The midfielder’s agent Pablo Bentacur revealed back in October that the Cagliari president had promised to sell his client in January for a cut-price fee.

Calciomercato have now reported Juve are interested in the Uruguayan international and have enquired about his availability.

The report makes no mention of Spurs and instead states that Juve are facing competition from Inter Milan and Napoli for the 26-year-old.

It is explained that Caligari are ready to accept either £16.6m for Nandez or willing to loan him out for a fee of €2m (£1.6m) with an obligation to buy in the summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not expect Tottenham to reignite their interest in Nandez as Conte has enough holding midfield options in Skipp, Hojbjerg and Winks. I think the Italian’s priority will be a new number 8 like Kessie, especially since it appears Ndombele and Dele are not part of his plans.
