Report: Serie A forward requests to leave his club amidst links to Tottenham

Domenico Berardi has reportedly asked to leave Sassuolo and a variety of Premier League clubs are interested in signing the forward (Tuttomercatoweb).

Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs allegedly considering putting in an offer for the 27-year-old, while Corriere della Sera have also reported that Liverpool are ‘fascinated’ by the Italian. Berardi has three years remaining on his current contract.

Sassuolo have already lost their midfield general in Manuel Locatelli, as he has left the club to join Juventus this week. It now appears they could be in danger of losing some firepower up-front with Beradi requesting to leave the Italian club.

Berardi is arguably the club’s best attacker by some stretch and a legend on and off the pitch as he has represented Sassuolo 291 times in all competitions since he rose through the academy.

His stock has never been higher after just winning Euro 2020 with Italy, albeit struggling to nail down a starting place – only accumulating 373 minutes throughout the tournament.

Beradi would bolster any squad in the Premier League – he’s a fantastic player. It would be a great coup for Tottenham. But with a host of interest, it would be an incredible challenge to land the 27-year-old. With him requesting to leave, it’s everybody’s game.
