Report: Serie A giants now ready to sell midfielder wanted by Paratici

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus are now ready to sell midfielder Weston McKennie, who is reportedly on Tottenham’s radar.

McKennie joined Juventus on loan from Schalke last summer and the midfielder made an impressive start to his career in Turin, which convinced the Old Lady to sign him permanently in March for £16m.

Tottenham are thought to be keen to add a central midfielder to their squad given the uncertainty surrounding the future of Tanguy Ndombele.

McKennie was mooted as a target for Spurs in the build-up to the January transfer window before Juve made his loan deal permanent and it was reported again in July that Fabio Partici was keen on bringing him to North London.

Di Marzio has now claimed that Juve could cash in on the USA international after their capture of Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo.

The journalist reveals the Serie A giants are now evaluating the offers they have for McKennie and do not consider the player ‘non-transferable’.

He claims that Massimiliano Allegri’s side could sell the 22-year-old before the end of the month ‘if an important offer arrives’.

Spurs Web Opinion

We know that Paratici likes McKennie, having signed the midfielder for Juventus last summer. I would certainly prefer the American over Nahitan Nandez.

However, it remains to be seen if a deal for McKennie will be realistic as Juventus will likely want top-dollar for him.
