Report: Serie A side make €15m offer for rumoured Spurs defensive target

The race for rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Kim Min-jae appears to be hotting up, with reports indicating that Napoli have made an opening offer to sign the Beijing Guoan player.

Spurs were said to be close to agreeing on a deal to sign the 23-year-old at one point (Sports.news.naver via TEAMtalk) but the speculation linking the Lilywhites with the centre-half has gone quiet over recent weeks.

Dutch publication Eindhovens Dagblad reported earlier in the week that PSV Eindhoven were looking to steal a march on the likes of Spurs and snap up the defender.

Il Messaggero (as relayed by Calcio Mercato) now claim that Lazio are now at the front of the queue for Kim’s signature.

The Serie A club have reportedly identified the South Korean international as their number one defensive target and have submitted a bid worth around €15million (£13.3m).

It is clear that we are not at the front of the queue for Kim’s signature anymore. I suspect we could still get him if we really wanted him, with the Son connection potentially working in our favour. However, it appears as if we might have moved on to other targets instead.
