Tottenham Hotspur could be set to be offered the chance to sign Nikola Milenkovic for a cut-price transfer fee ahead of next season, according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.
The report claims that Fiorentina could be set to accept an offer in the region of £15-£18million for the defender who is out of contract at the end of next season and it is said that he will not sign a new deal.
Previous reports suggested that the Serie A outfit would not sell the centre back for less than £38million (The Sun).
The 23-year-old has 121 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina since he was signed from Serbian side Partizan in 2017 (transfermarkt).
Fiorentina are aware there is interest in the Serbian international from Premier League clubs and are hopeful of a bidding war, while Juventus are also monitoring his situation.
Football.London recently reported that Spurs are seeking a new central defender with leadership qualities this summer.
If Milenkovic can be signed for between £15-£18million, it would represent excellent value for Tottenham in what is expected to be a financially tense window for the club given the impact of the coronavirus pandemic
